Daniel J. Schultz is a Senior Project Manager with ChildObesity180. As a public health dietitian, Dan draws inspiration from his lived experience of experiencing unhealthy weight gain as an adolescent. He is a Senior Program Manager, actively contributing to diverse initiatives within ChildObesity180. He manages the Delta GREENS (Growing a Resilient, Enriching, Equitable, and Nourishing Food System) Food is Medicine Project and the USDA/Tufts Telehealth Intervention Strategies for WIC (THIS-WIC) project.
Dan previously managed a mixed-methods evaluation for the Evaluating Children’s Physical Activity in School-Based Programs study, which examined the effects of COVID-19 on physical activity programs in Boston schools. Between 2015 and 2019, he spearheaded a ChildObesity180 project that facilitated the implementation of walking and running programs in over 70 public schools in the Boston area. Before graduate school, Dan dedicated two years to national service through FoodCorps.
