Dan Hatfield is a Senior Public Health Researcher at FHI 360 and an adjunct assistant professor at the Tufts University Friedman School of Nutrition and ChildObesity180. His work lies at the intersection of research and practice – in understanding what works in terms of helping people eat better and move more and using that knowledge to inform policy and practice in individual communities and at broad scale. Dr. Hatfield’s research and applied projects have focused on developing and testing novel, reproducible interventions to support healthy eating and physical activity; partnering with community organizations to rigorously evaluate existing health promotion programs; and scaling up evidence-based community and behavioral interventions. Dr. Hatfield holds a PhD in Food Policy and Applied Nutrition and an MS in Nutrition Communication from the Tufts Friedman School of Nutrition and a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from Princeton University.
